Permanent Graduate Geotechnical/Geo-environmental Engineer
Job Description
An enthusiastic and determined Graduate Geotechnical/Geo-Environmental Engineer is required by our client to be based in their busy Warwickshire office. The firm is a specialist consultancy who are recognised leaders in the geotechnical and environmental sectors and who continue to grow as they continue to work successfully with numerous clients in many diverse sectors.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Geo-Technical engineer as the firm is expanding there will be excellent opportunities for career progression for the right candidate. The firm offers excellent support with their industry recognised training and assistance with achieving chartered status.
Essential Experience:
- Relevant degree e.g. Civil Engineering, Geology etc
- A minimum of 18month’s experience working within a relevant consultancy environment
- Sound knowledge of ground and site investigations
- Experience of desk studies and writing appropriate reports
- Must be proficient in the use of CAD packages and Holebase
- Must have exceptional communication skills
Duties Include:
- Risk assessments and method statements
- Ground investigations including logging, monitoring and sampling
- Client and sub-contractor liaison
- Controlling of projects costs
- Laboratory scheduling
- Phase 1 & 2 desk studies
- Remediation and verification
- Geotechnical design reports
Package:
- £25k- £30K – depending on experience
