Our operating portfolio includes both onshore and offshore wind farms, hydroelectric power plant, and biomass. Utilising these natural resources provides significant sources of power for the UK\'s present and future electricity needs.
They are currently seeking to recruit an Asset Manager to join a team responsible for the commercial aspects of our onshore wind farms.
Main Purpose of Job:
•Commercial management of onshore wind farms
Principal Accountabilities:
•Asset management to optimise income and investment over the life of the assets
•Representing the company and developers with their lenders and their advisers, contractors, land owners and other counterparties
•Contract management and administration, approving and expediting payments, procurement and budgeting
•Commercial lead on operational disputes and warranty claims
•Financial management of assets and the portfolio, including P&L and cash flow
•Financial and operational reporting to Zephyr, and internal management reporting
•Liaising with the shareholders, their advisors and management team
•Further development of systems and procedures for managing service provision under third party agreements, and associated risks
•Co-ordination of service provision from internal teams based at various sites, including managing the regular internal interfaces
Key Competencies:
•Well organised, with a methodical approach to work and detail conscious
•Be highly motivated and have the ability to work to project deadlines
•Be commercially astute and have experience of working with contracts
•Able to summarise detailed technical issues and present them to a non-technical audience
•Numerate and able to work with spreadsheets
•Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•Be conscientious and committed to high standards of work
Knowledge and Skills:
•Knowledge of commercial arrangements in UK generation industry essential
•Appreciation of wind farm technology and O&M will be an advantage but not essential
•Engineering or businesss qualification
