We have the resources and expertise to develop, build and operate high quality, commercial-scale renewable energy schemes throughout the UK and you’ll also play a key role in implementing those processes.


    We’re seeking talented Civil/Structural Engineers to undertake challenging roles on Offshore Wind Farm projects across the UK, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. You’ll lend your expertise to a range of projects from development and design, through to construction and operation. And you’ll be involved in every civil or structural aspect of the wind turbine foundations and towers, as well as the offshore substation platforms.


    As the project expert for civil or structural engineering, you’ll enjoy an impact from day one. Accountable for guiding strategic decision making, you’ll investigate and select design concepts, manage the design process, prepare specifications, and provide technical input into procurement strategies and contract management.


    Managing consultant subcontractors, and providing technical supervision of contractors during design, fabrication and installation, you’ll co-ordinate the use of time and resources, share ideas for improvement, and drive performance to ensure we deliver on our promises. Providing technical audit of facilities and equipment, and technical assessment of tenders, you’ll also deliver engineering quality assurance during manufacture and installation.


    Educated to graduate level in your field, you have proven knowledge and experience of the design and construction of large industrial structures. You have a demonstrable understanding of the principles of dynamic structural analysis, offshore installation, piling, marine operations and heavy lifting. We’ll expect you to be familiar with steel fabrication and reinforced concrete construction


     


    You will be responsible for all offshore structures on a major offshore wind farm project which will shortly enter the FEED and Detailed Design stages. As the Lead Structural Engineer on that project, you will lead a team of structural engineers working within a multi-disciplinary client project team. The engineers on this project will be responsible for site investigations, selection of foundation concepts, design decisions covering primary and secondary components, and the technical management of the detailed design contract for the offshore foundations.


     


    Highly motivated and resourceful, with strong organisational skills, you have technical project management experience in the renewable energy, power generation or oil and gas industries. Fluent in English, you have the ability to communicate effectively, taking a collaborative and respectful approach, within a multicultural team. With excellent analytical and conceptual skills, you are able to drive innovative and strategic thinking
