PermanentWorking for a long-standing, award-winning and highly experienced designers and installers of high quality solar PV and thermal systems.
Seeking an outstanding candidate to fulfil the senior surveyor role.
The person sought will have a solid background in building surveying or surveying for renewable energy installations, and have the key skills to manage and motivate our existing domestic sales surveying team.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise the allocation of sales leads by postcode area to our sales surveying team.
• Ensure established Quality Assurance procedures are being followed by all sales surveyors at all times.
• Line Management of sales surveying team, including annual performance appraisals and day-to-day assessment of performance.
• Ensure domestic sales survey requirements are met and that all survey information is entered at point of sale to our CRM database as per our requirements.
• Provide support and encouragement to all sales surveyors, including the triage of sales queries and provision of answers to technical questions from sales surveyors and/or their clients.
• Manage your own caseload of surveying work, and oversee the technical design and survey team in addition to the sales surveyors.
• Ensure IT and other equipment used by sales surveyors is fit for purpose, whilst ensuring that any new equipment conforms to best-value protocols.
• Report weekly to General Manager on progress and issues / development strategy.
Essential Experience:
• Management of staff teams.
• Solid background in domestic surveying.
• Understanding of renewable energy technologies
Desirable Experience:
• Management of sub-contractors and commission-based sales surveyors.
• Solar photovoltaic knowledge and/or experience
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
• Good working knowledge of IT and mobile surveying technologies
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
• Design knowledge of PV technologies, including PV design and surveying courses.
• Knowledge of electrical standards
• Knowledge of MCS Photovoltaic installation standards.
Essential Personal Attributes:
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Communication skills with a wide range of client bases, from domestic to blue chip clients.
